F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2020 Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets

There’s no rest for the wicked this season as Formula One ventures across the border to Hungary on Sunday night.

Mercedes have gone back-to-back since the season started with both Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton winning the Austrian and Styrian Grand Prix’s simultaneously, and it doesn’t appear either Ferrari or Red Bull are capable of challenging the favourites again this week.

The Hungaroring is well-known for its hostile summer conditions, which should make life difficult for several constructors and drivers across the entire weekend.

As for punters, we’ve made it a little easier by analysing the entire 2020 Hungarian Grand Prix in our preview below.

2020 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Winner

Lewis Hamilton to win at $1.62

Ferrari imploded yet again last weekend at the Red Bull Ring as teammates Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc collided on the first lap.

With that in mind, it’s extremely difficult to fade Mercedes, and while you might think the tight corners and sharp turns of the Hungaroring suit Red Bull, their recent track record at this event suggests otherwise.

Lewis Hamilton has won the last two editions of the Hungarian Grand Prix and it would be less than surprising to see Mercedes finish one, two again on Sunday.

Red Bull, meanwhile, hasn’t won this event since Daniel Ricciardo saluted way back in 2014.

As mentioned earlier, this weekend is all about endurance and handling the conditions, something the silver and green colours have proven capable of time and time again.

Until the other constructors get their act together, stick with what’s working.

2020 Hungarian Grand Prix Double Top 6 Finish

McLaren at $2.88

There was plenty to like about Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris last week at the Red Bull Ring and I think there is decent value on offer here for both McLaren drivers to finish Top 6.

Sainz was one of the standouts in qualifying where he earned his way to start third on the grid, while Norris was huge on race day weaving his way to a fifth-place finish.

A lot would have to happen, but with Ferrari and Red Bull both down on their luck, another big day from McLaren isn’t entirely out of the question.

2020 Hungarian Grand Prix Fastest Lap

Sebastian Vettel at $15.00

If you’re looking for something at long odds, don’t sleep on Sebastian Vettel putting in a big performance.

Red Bull are a question mark in the corners, but they do have plenty of straight line speed to at least make a contest of this race.

Vettel was forced to retire one lap in last week after a collision with Charles Leclerc cost him his rear wing, so he shouldn’t be short on motivation.

The four-time World Champion has also been the only driver to really compete with Hamilton at this event in recent years, while the fact he won the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2015 and 2017 certainly helps his chances.
