The Reds head into this game as deserved favourites following a 7-1 regular season, only losing a dead rubber (for them) in Perth in the final round.
It has not always been smooth sailing for Brad Thorn and his team however they have found different ways to win games and their home and away series against the Brumbies provides a perfect summary of that.
In Canberra they scored 40 points to stun the Brumbies after falling into an early 17-0 hole while the return game in Brisbane required a much more resolute and mature approach, to hold on for a 24-22 win.
There is no chance they blow the Brumbies out of the water here but the bye could be critical for them here.
Queensland should have the edge and I’ll back them to cover the small line as they score an insurance try late.
