The ‘coach swap’ has been finalised and the stage has officially been set for a Round 8 blockbuster, with TAB pricing Souths to get the win when they host the Broncos on May 2nd in 2019.
Souths have opened clear favourites at $1.55, ahead of the Broncos at $2.45 with the showdown expected to be one of the biggest betting games of the 2019 season.
The Premiership market has remained unchanged following the coach swap, with Souths on the second line of betting at $8 ahead of the Broncos at $10.
“The coaching saga at both Souths and Brisbane is now behind us, so it will be interesting to see if TAB customers have a preference between the two sides to win next year’s NRL title,” TAB’s Gerard Daffy said.
“One thing I do know is that the match between these 2 sides in May could potentially be the biggest betting game of the home and away season.”
